Last week marked the official unveiling of Zizzi Bridgend, located in the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, introducing a fresh and captivating ambience.

The much-anticipated launch of Zizzi Bridgend is the latest in the chain’s rollout of its newly designed restaurants, bringing the total to 137 across the UK. Zizzi is a welcome addition to the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend where customers can enjoy day-to-night family entertainment at the shopping centre.

Talented local mural artist Hannah Davies was selected to be part of this opening, designing artwork for the restaurant. Hannah’s design called The Sunset over Ogmore Dunes is inspired by one of the legends of Ogmore Castle, where the Lord’s daughter walked barefoot until sunset to secure a section of land for local people to hunt on. The artwork features the sunset over Ogmore castle, the daughter and other hunting and castle details for customers to discover whilst they dine at Zizzi.

Inside the restaurant, guests will experience touch points including the iconic Zizzi tree, pendant lights, hanging plants, checkerboard black and white tiles, an updated colour palette throughout which makes the restaurant feel warm and cosy, finished with neon signs with fun, modern slogans. Zizzi Bridgend is proud to be measured by BREAM and SKA for ESG credentials due to its electric oven and induction hobs, plus zero waste to landfill for the fit out.

Zizzi Bridgend follows recent new openings in Belfast Odyssey, Newbury, Chester, Leicester, Lancaster, and London Canary Wharf. Over the past twelve months, Zizzi has opened 6 new restaurants and unveiled 15 transformed restaurants in the latest iteration of their new style. Customers visiting Zizzi Bridgend can enjoy tasty, authentic Italian dishes with a twist from pizza, pasta and risotto to salads and indulgent desserts. From 15th January 2024, customers can choose from the New Year Special Guests menu including Chilli Chicken Wings, Antipasti Garlic Bread, Sausage and Nduja Lasagne, Beef and Red Pepper Calzone. For dessert, the Sticky Toffee Apple Pudding with a delicious cocktail, the Sipsmith FreeGlider & Raspberry Fizz.

Zizzi Bridgend will seat a total of 130 people, 100 inside and 30 people outside. The restaurant will be open from 11.30am – 10pm, Monday – Sunday.

Paulina Skweres, General Manager of Zizzi Bridgend says: “We are delighted to be re-opening the doors to our brand-new look and feel of Zizzi Bridgend. We are very much looking forward to welcoming back local customers and getting to know plenty of new ones, sharing good times over our delicious, much-loved, and craveable Italian dishes with a twist.”

Richard Garratt, Centre Manager at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend said: “We’re very excited to welcome Zizzi Bridgend to our Centre. We know that the new addition to our food and beverage offering will be a huge hit with guests, providing them with a fresh, delicious, and authentic Italian dining option to tickle their tastebuds while they shop.”
