With the UK in lockdown due to coronavirus, the country is turning to video streaming services such as Netflix and Prime Video to keep entertained through this difficult time.

Ever since DVD rentals shops such as Blockbusters emerged on the high street back in the 90s, watching films has always been a popular pass time. Nowadays, the likes of Blockbusters and its 528 stores have been replaced with video on-demand services, allowing you to watch what you want, when you want.

Accessing an array of film genres with a few clicks of a mouse or taps of a screen has become far more convenient than a trip to the shop (not that you can these days).

Whether it’s binge watching a TV series that you never had the time to start or re-watching a favourite childhood film, there are thousands of videos to choose from.

We’ve put together a list of films that make us smile, from classics to family films to newer releases, they help to split up the monotony of the days that blend together. Just a heads up, some of the films listed below are only available in the U.S library of Netflix and can only be accessed with the help of a VPN that offers U.S servers. If you already have a VPN, here’s how easy it is to get American Netflix in the U.K.
