6 Ways to Boost Business without Breaking the Bank

The race to boost business is afoot. Given the hit that many entrepreneurs took following the pandemic, many are looking for new ways to increase their revenue without further economic blunders. So here are 6 niche and affordable ways you can meet your goals in 2022.

  1. Celebrity endorsements

A fundamental part of business growth within any industry is celebrity endorsements and influencer marketing. It’s a relatively low-budget moneymaking opportunity if done right.

LinkedIn found that celebrity endorsements can boost business revenue by 10x more than traditional methods. Why? People buy from people – especially those they idolise and trust. Celebrities also have a huge platform, so if they can promote your business, it gets your name out there to thousands of people instantly. Ka-ching!

Thrillz Business hosts a platform with a variety of celebrities, from Paul Chuckle to Kerry Katona, Nigel Farage and more. It offers you the ability to personalise a celebrity video message from as little as £155, which is really going to give you that WOW factor to succeed in 2022.

  1. Social media paid ads

Social media in general is a great way to get more bang for your buck. However, TikTok has become a key player in marketing and advertising; it’s now the second-biggest app to generate consumer revenue.

According to Hoot Suite, beverage company Ocean Spray earned 15 billion views from TikTok ads in a single month. As a result, they had a spike in sales peaking at 100,000 from less than 15,000 in September 2020.

You’re looking to spend approximately £50 a day depending on the time of year (Christmas is obviously prime cart time) and according to the keyword competition.

  1. Improve your SEO Strategy

A virtually low-cost and highly effective solution to boost business and increase revenue is through SEO: Search Engine Optimisation. Nowadays you have to play by Google’s rules, which means having a content strategy for your website, including landing pages, location pages, a blog, backlinks – the list goes on.

Start by researching the keywords you want to rank for, that are high density but low competition, aka “low hanging fruit”. For example, if you’re a plumbing business, refine your google search by writing copy that ranks for ‘plumbing London’ or a long-tail variation and then create a location page. Then get links from other sites to help get the content indexed.

This will help drive traffic to your site, improve the user experience and beat the competition. Having highly optimised copy will also help in the long run and the only expenditure is a subscription for the SEO tools you use. A great tool to get started is SEMrush or Ahrefs.

  1. Good old fashioned Guerrilla marketing

Now that the world is getting back to normal, a great way to boost business in 2022 is to get outside and network. Print business cards with your company logo, create flyers with information and eye-catching graphics, and get a space on local high streets or busy hot spots.

Guerrilla marketing is perfect for brand awareness and customer acquisition; after all, you need to get people interested and stand out against the noise. Especially if you’re market is highly saturated. This is a very low-cost option, where most outlay will be on flyering production, and there are several third-party companies that can do this on a budget.

  1. Run a giveaway or competition

Again, social media is your biggest resource. It’s free to use and you control 100% of the distribution. The problem is that you need to get people’s attention. So think about innovative ways that you can achieve your goals. You’ll need to tailor this according to whether you’re aiming to build brand awareness or increase sales – it all factors in.

An idea for building brand awareness, which in turn increases sales, could be a giveaway. Select a few of your products or packages and create an easy, shareable way for users to engage.

The basic requirements are to create a business page with your branding, post a picture of the giveaway, tag brands and influencers, then encourage people to follow your page and share the competition with friends. You can announce the winner at a date of your preference, and in the meantime, gain valuable customers.

  1. Networking and exhibitions

You may have the best business in the world, but the only way to boost business and spread the word is by talking. Forget dinner parties with your friends, you need to think bigger. Even if you consider yourself well-established, you never know what markets you have yet to penetrate.

Find local events or exhibitions in your industry that will help you promote your business and get it trending, whether that’s B2B or B2C. This is also a great opportunity to find interesting minds and potential partnerships that will help boost business and growth. Get out there and speak to people, then watch the numbers roll in.

One last thing…

With Q1 in motion, there’s no better time to start investing in your goals. These ideas to boost business will benefit you commercially, as well as keep your pocket full.
