Cardiff is the capital of Wales and the largest city in this island country. It is located on the south coast of Wales and has a population of approximately 350 thousand. Although relatively small, Cardiff is a major commercial center. It hosts businesses in insurance, information technology, retail, and other service sectors.

But the city also has a large tourism industry due to its historical and cultural attractions. If you are thinking about paying it a visit, here are a few tips on what you can do in Cardiff at night.

1.Take a tour through the Cardiff Bay

Cardiff Bay is a large waterfront area in the city center. It is a well-known attraction for tourists and locals alike since it features several historical sites. Among them are Victorian docklands, two castles, and one opera house. The bay welcomes visitors with breathtaking views of the city.

It is possible to take a boat tour through its waters for less than $10 per person. At the same time, you should seize the opportunity to visit a nearby Cardiff Castle. It was built by the Normans in the 1100s on top of an older Roman fortress, which still stands today as one of Cardiff’s most famous attractions.

    2.Play casino games

If you are a fan of gambling, then head over to the Capital Casino in Cardiff. It is one of the biggest and best-equipped casinos you can find in Wales. The gaming floor makes use of cutting-edge lighting and sound technology, which creates an unforgettable atmosphere. The casino offers more than 300 different slot machines, which you can try out for as little as $0.01.

Just in case you don’t feel like going out, you can try virtual gambling. Similar to online casino games in Canada, gambling websites in Wales also attract thousands of players every night. It’s a great opportunity to gamble with or without leaving your hotel room.

    3.Compete in a trivia game

If video games are more your thing, then check out the Cardiff Barfly. It is one of the most popular venues for pub-style entertainment in Wales. The bar shows broadcasts of various television programs with sports, music, and news. On certain nights, it even offers trivia competitions for participants of all ages.

The Barfly is popular for its friendly atmosphere and diverse crowd. It welcomes both locals and tourists, which makes it a great destination for a night out with your friends.

    4.Enjoy a musical performance

Located near Cardiff Bay, St. David’s Hall is one of the most popular venues in South Wales. With almost 50 years of experience, it has staged various events and concerts from opera singers to pop music acts. In fact, international recording artists, such as Franz Ferdinand and Tom Jones, have performed at St. David’s Hall before.

The Hall has over two thousand seats spread across three tiers. You can easily find tickets for less than $20 during the week or $40 on Saturday nights. Both children and adults are invited to enjoy a variety of shows throughout the year.

5.Have a few drinks and dance the night away at Tiger Tiger

Cardiff isn’t all about cultural attractions and historical sites. At night, it’s also the go-to place for anyone looking to have a good time. One of the most popular bars in town is Tiger Tiger at Cardiff Central Station. It features a large dance floor where visitors can enjoy dancing to top 40 hits from DJs every Friday and Saturday night.

The club also hosts various themed nights, such as the 80s vs 90s night and a Girls’ Night Out. You can also find special discounts on drinks, which makes it a great choice for anyone looking to have a fun night out on a budget. It is located near several other venues so you can easily move from one to another.

6.Take a walk around Bute Park

Bute Park is the largest urban park in Cardiff. It covers an area of about 1,017 acres and is bordered by several public attractions. Some of the most notable ones include the National Museum of Wales and the Heath Park Golf Course.

Having a walk through Bute Park offers many benefits to both locals and tourists. Apart from getting away from everyday stress, it also allows you to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery. There are also several events that take place in Bute Park throughout the year, such as the annual food festival and a giant bouncy castle.

    Conclusion

Cardiff has plenty to offer for anyone looking to have a good time in the city. From dancing to gambling, you can find a lot of interesting venues and events in this lovely city.
