Caerphilly CBC Engineering Projects Group (EPG) and Land Drainage departments are undertaking essential highway and land drainage works along Gypsy Lane (Groeswen, Caerphilly).

The works are scheduled to start on the 15th August 2022 and are to be completed by the 30th September 2022, however EPG and the Principal Contractors will endeavour to expedite the programme wherever possible.

** The works will be undertaken in two phases

    • Phase 2 –  Between the Garreg Llwyd entrance and the Pughs Garden Centre Nursery Gypsy Lane entrance: To construct a culvert headwall adjacent to The Meadows Farm Village entrance.

The Meadows Farm Village and Pugh’s Garden Centre will remain open for business and can be  accessed via Old Nantgarw Road.

With exception for local business and residential access, Gypsy lane will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicle access during the above dates.

Please follow the traffic diversion route when accessing the area. Phase 1 diversion will be in place from the 15th August until the 11th September and Phase 2 diversion will commence on the 10th September until the 30th  September 2022.
