An Aldi colleague in Cardiff is celebrating a work anniversary milestone this month after working at the supermarket for 25 years.

Helen Edmonds, Store Assistant at the Treseder Way store in Cardiff, first joined the supermarket in 1997. Over the years, Helen has worked on Project Fresh changes and grand openings at multiple stores across the UK, including in Bristol, Portsmouth, and Weymouth.

During her time at Aldi, Helen has gone above and beyond her typical store duties by helping to train a number of colleagues and take part in several different fundraisers for Aldi’s chosen charity, Teenage Cancer Trust.

Speaking about her long service, Helen said: “It has been a privilege to work at Aldi for the past 25 years. I’ve loved working for the business, with both my amazing colleagues and customers also being a key part of what makes it such a great place to come to work each day.”

When asked about her favourite products at Aldi, Helen replied: “I do have a sweet tooth which makes it hard to resist the desserts in the frozen food section – they are the perfect treat after a shift!”

Dan Oakenfull, Regional Managing Director at Aldi UK said: “Without the hard work and dedication of our store colleagues, we wouldn’t be able to provide customers with the excellent and efficient service we’ve become known for.

“Colleagues like Helen are the cornerstone of our business and I thank her for her continued dedication throughout the last 25 years.”
