Christmas has arrived early in South Wales, and behind the doors of a Cwmbran warehouse, there is enough tinsel, twinkling lights and festive magic to make even the biggest Grinch feel a little Christmassy.
Wales 247 has been given a first look inside the Festive Christmas Shop ahead of its opening to the public on Saturday, 3 October, and this year it is bigger, brighter and packed with more than 10,000 festive products.

Based at Festive Productions on Ty Coch Way, Cwmbran, the seasonal shop has once again been transformed into a Christmas wonderland, with huge displays of decorated trees, thousands of ornaments, lights, garlands, bows and almost every type of tinsel imaginable.
And if October still feels a little early to be thinking about Christmas, there is plenty for Halloween fans too.

The company has expanded its Trick or Treat Shop for 2026, with spooky decorations ranging from Halloween-style nutcrackers to a vampire Mickey Mouse, alongside plenty of suitably creepy seasonal decorations.

But step further inside and Christmas quickly takes over.

There are decorations starting from just £1, walls filled with baubles and ornaments, festive floristry, tree skirts, Christmas trains designed to circle the bottom of the tree and an enormous choice of bows and tinsel.

Lighting is another major part of this year’s shop, with energy-efficient LED lights sitting alongside illuminated decorations and large-scale displays.

Disney fans have plenty to discover too, with Festive Productions extending its range of Disney infinity lights and light-up baubles for 2026.
Then there is the Grinch.

The famously reluctant Christmas character has proved surprisingly popular, with a sizeable range of Grinch-themed decorations among this year’s collection.
One of the more unusual products, and potentially one of this Christmas’s big hits, is the Festive Magic Wand.

Priced at £13.40, the wand can be used to switch Christmas lights on with a swoop, adding a little bit of actual magic to the annual tradition of illuminating the tree.

Beyond decorations, visitors will find artificial Christmas trees, gift wrap, sweets, stocking fillers and seasonal accessories, with outlet deals available throughout the shop.

The scale of the operation perhaps shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Festive Productions is the UK’s largest supplier of Christmas decorations, lighting and trees, supplying garden centres across the country as well as major retailers including Next, John Lewis, Selfridges and Liberty.
Its Cwmbran Christmas Shop gives the public the opportunity to buy directly from the source and see some of those ranges brought together under one roof.
For families, there is another reason to visit.

Santa will be making appearances every weekend from the shop’s opening until Sunday, 29 November, and visits are completely free with no booking required.
He will usually be at the shop between 10am and 5pm, although on 14, 15 and 21 November his hours will be 10am until 3pm.

Festive Productions says the shop has been designed to be an experience rather than simply somewhere to pick up decorations, with large displays throughout and regular appearances from Santa and Mrs Claus during the season.
And there is certainly plenty to look at.

From traditional reds and golds to sparkling contemporary decorations, Disney characters, giant ornaments and rows upon rows of Christmas trees, it is the sort of place where a quick visit could very easily turn into a much longer browse.
The shop is also accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, customer toilets are available, there is free parking on site and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

While Festive Productions’ main showroom remains exclusively for trade customers and is available by appointment, the seasonal Christmas Shop is open to everyone and no appointment is required.
The Festive Christmas Shop opens on Saturday, 3 October at Festive Productions Ltd, Ty Coch Way, Cwmbran, NP44 7EZ.
Opening hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
So, whether you’re already counting down the days until Christmas, hunting for something unusual for the tree or simply fancy seeing what more than 10,000 Christmas products look like under one roof, Cwmbran might be about to become one of South Wales’ most festive destinations.
