There’s an extra reason to visit Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park this autumn – Atlantic grey seals are currently giving birth to their distinctive white pups along this spectacular stretch of the Ceredigion coastline.
The seals live and breed in the caves beneath the Farm Park at Gwbert, near Cardigan and, at this time of year, visitors may be lucky enough to spot some of the new pups from safely fenced, clifftop viewing areas.
To encourage visitors to make the most of this special time of year, Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park is also offering a free return visit to anyone who pays for admission. The return visit available must be used by October 16.
Lyn Jenkins from Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park said: “It’s a lovely time of year here, with the Atlantic grey seals giving birth. The white pups are a wonderful sight.
“We’re offering everyone who pays to visit to Farm Park a free return visit, valid until October 16, so there’s another opportunity to come back and hopefully see the seals and pups again.”
The Farm Park overlooks Cardigan Island and Cardigan Bay, providing visitors with an opportunity to enjoy the animals alongside its coastal scenery and wildlife.
Camping and caravanning is also available on site, with electric hook-ups, toilets and showers. Guests staying at the campsite receive free admission to the Farm Park during their stay.
