This spring, The Angel Hotel in Abergavenny is offering a brand new Gong Bath Break to help tackle the tensions of everyday life.

Ideal for reducing stress and anxiety, Gong Baths are the ultimate way to relax as you bathe in the healing vibrations of sound. This ancient deep relaxation technique is known to work on numerous levels and can help balance emotions and support mental health.

Led by Chrys Blanchard, a sound healing expert and composer for over 40 years, the 90-minute Gong Bath sessions enable powerful shifts to take place, bringing positive change. Lying down with closed eyes, you can immerse yourself in wave upon wave of profound resonance. These meditations, brimming with healing sound waves, resonate every cell in your body, stilling the mind, relaxing the body and soothing the spirit.

Guests can return to the contemporary comfort of The Angel Hotel and enjoy dinner at The Oak Room (2 AA Rosettes) or the relaxed Foxhunter Bar. Chefs Paul Brown and Wesley Hammond lead The Angel’s talented culinary team to provide a memorable dining experience, offering the freshest and finest ingredients.

With a meditative mind, sleep will come easily in The Angel’s sleek contemporary bedrooms, featuring Lewis & Wood fabrics, Villeroy & Boch or Fired Earth bathroom fittings, pocket-sprung mattress with silky Percale bed linens & extra fluffy (600gsm) towels, plus Aromatherapy Associates amenities.
