Rhiannon Peploe-Williams, of Blake Morgan LLP in Cardiff, is to become Branch Chair of Women in Property South Wales.  She takes the role on 1 March for one year, with a remit to continue to grow and evolve the branch.

Rhiannon is an Associate in the Real Estate team at Blake Morgan LLP where she specialises in commercial property transactions with particular emphasis on retail asset management for both landlords and tenants and commercial property acquisition and disposal. She has been a committee member of Women in Property South Wales for five years and was Vice Chair in 2021 (prior to her maternity leave).

In both her professional life and through her voluntary roles, Rhiannon is committed to the ethos behind Women in Property. “Everything Women in Property is about chimes with the principles of social value.  We have always been committed to inclusion, engagement and an equitable society, so what a great time to be taking on the branch Chair role, coinciding with worldwide International Women’s Day celebrations

“Women in Property South Wales strives to inspire women in the Built Environment to reinforce existing professional connections and make new ones. We are focused on reviving professional relationships following the pandemic by encouraging our members to join our in-person events. I am thrilled to be 2023 Chair and looking ahead at a very exciting year, starting with International Women’s Day and its theme ’embracing equity to reach equality’. Our branch will continue to support our members with the tools and means to achieve gender equity by offering ongoing professional development, networking events, mentoring schemes and our annual Student Awards.”

Women in Property South Wales has also announced its Vice Chair for 2023/24, Hannah Lewis-Jones Business Development Director of HKS. Hannah will support Rhiannon over the course of the next year before becoming Chair in 2024.

In addition to its South Wales ‘in person’ events, Women in Property runs a national webinar programme, with many events being CPD accredited.  The organisation is holding its first national conference in twenty years, in Bristol on 20 April under the banner Women leading the future.  Sessions will include Inclusive Design and Public Realm, Social Anthropology, Mentoring and the Psychology of Business, as well as a panel discussion, followed by dinner with a live band and all open to both members and non-members, of all genders.
