Things are hotting up at the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, with eight sessions a day EVERY day of the week until the end of July.

Lido Ponty’s timetable has now switched to summer, which means two early morning swim sessions every day of the week, plus the usual six family fun sessions, when the inflatables are out and the fountain is on, on weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.

Added to the timetable are the weekday day-time swims, running from 9am to 3.30pm (all three pools are open including the splash pool) and two after-school fun sessions with inflatable obstacle course, water zorbs and paddle boats.

The new day-time sessions are perfect for those who want a later, day-time swim in the week or those with pre-school or home-schooled children who just want to enjoy the heated waters. Please note, the inflatables only come out for the last two sessions of the day.

You can see the timetable here.

Lido Ponty is now open every day of the week until July 30, when it closes as part of the complete closure of Ynysangharad War Memorial Park for the National Eisteddfod of Wales. The Eisteddfod runs from August 3-10 but a definite reopening date for Lido Ponty depends on the progress of the event “close-down”.
