The purchase has been supported by a £250,000 funding package from NatWest, and marks the next phase in the company’s ambitious growth plan.

Lewis Ballard is nationally recognised as an innovative and proactive practice, and their professionally qualified, dynamic team, lead the way in providing digital solutions for businesses.

Already offering a full range of accountancy and business advisory services, the practice is broadening its scope thanks to Harris & Co’s experience in specialist tax and a number of business sectors, including construction, manufacturing and retail.

Co-founders Neil and Janet Ballard established the business 10 years ago, and now employ 25 members of staff, including the whole team from Harris & Co. It is the company’s first acquisition.

Janet Ballard, Director at Lewis Ballard, said:

“We’re grateful to have the talented team at Harris & Co helping to drive the business forward, with their collective experience broadening the scope of our business, and providing a balance between youth and experience.

“Harris & Co is perfect fit for us, as it too is an independent, family-run business, and its team understand the way we work. We are grateful to NatWest for supporting this acquisition which aids the development of our business.”

Neil Williams, Relationship Manager at NatWest, said: “Lewis Ballard is an ambitious family-run business going from strength to strength, and its success is testament to the hard-work and strategic planning by Neil, Janet and the rest of the team. The firm has joined forces with a business that shares its values of trust, dedication and providing the best value possible to clients, and we wish them all the best for the future.”
