Caerphilly Play is inviting applications for the National Play Day Small Grants Scheme 2025, which is now open and accepting submissions until 12pm on Wednesday 2nd July.

Childcare settings, childminders and out-of-school clubs based in Caerphilly County Borough can apply for up to £200 to help run events during the week of National Play Day, with the main celebration taking place on Wednesday 6th August 2025.

This year’s theme, “Playing on a shoestring – making every day an adventure,” celebrates creative, low-cost ways to bring fun, friendship and freedom to children’s everyday lives.

    To be eligible, events must:

    • Take place between 5th and 11th August.
    • Be free or cost no more than £1.
    • Provide inclusive and meaningful play opportunities for children aged 4 to 12.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel, and successful applicants will be notified by Friday 18th July.

For more information or to apply, contact Laura Williams, Play Sufficiency Officer, at [email protected]
