Children, parents and young people are being invited to take part in anti-bullying sessions at the Red Dragon Centre ahead of Anti-Bullying Week.

BulliesOut has teamed up with the Red Dragon Centre to hold free drop in workshops at the entertainment complex between 12-4pm on Saturday 10th November. Visitors can get creative and design an anti-bullying key ring to take home and keep. The sessions, sponsored by Cardiff-based search engine optimisation experts HQ SEO, aim to raise awareness about bullying and offer practical advice and information.

BulliesOut, established in 2006, is a dedicated anti-bullying charity that provides innovative activities and training programmes to empower and inspire children and young people to achieve their full potential.

Alongside the interactive workshops, the Red Dragon Centre will also be hosting BulliesOut’s Youth Ambassador monthly training. The anti-bullying ambassadors are youngsters from across the UK, many of whom have experienced bullying first hand, who are receiving support from the charity and learning to help others in similar situations. Each receives regular training and progresses through Youth Achievement Awards.

Linda James MBE, Founder of BulliesOut, said:

“Once again, BulliesOut is looking forward to teaming up with the Red Dragon Centre. These anti-bullying sessions are crucial in enabling us to reach out to members of the community to raise awareness of bullying and provide support to those who may need it. The creative workshops engage young people and is a reminder of how bullying affects a person and what to do if it happens to them.”

Emma Constantinou, Marketing Manager for The Red Dragon Centre said:

“BulliesOut does an incredible job of supporting vulnerable people; helping them overcome difficult times and being able to imagine a bright future. The youth ambassadors are inspiring and it really is a pleasure to host their training.”

Anti-bullying week runs from 12th – 16th November. To show your support, visit www.bulliesout.com or to find out more about the workshops, visit http://thereddragoncentre.co.uk/whats-on.
