Alongside Dynolwaith (26 Sept-4 Oct), its brand new co-production with Frân Wen, Sherman Theatre has curated a wealth of Welsh talent this Autumn, with a programme of visiting shows spanning several genres.
Comedians Henry Paker, Benjamin Partridge and Mike Wozniak bring their Three Bean Salad Podcast – winner of the Chortle Awards’ Best Podcast award in 2024 and produced by Little Wander, to the Sherman (13 Sept).
Discover three new worlds, from ancient mythology through to futuristic sci-fi, in Surge; National Dance Company Wales’ triple-bill of captivating dance and gorgeous design (17-19 Sept).
Profound passion meets total chaos in Romeo a Juliet, Theatr Cymru’s new exploration of the famous tragic love story, placing the violent feud between the Montagues and Capulets in bilingual Wales (29 Sept-3 Oct).
Crime, justice, childcare and who takes care of the kids when a mum gets sent to prison are at the heart of Siân Owen’s powerful play, A Visit, produced by Papertrail in association with Clean Break (7-8 Oct). This gripping piece of theatre is inspired by the real life stories of the women and young people the company has worked with.
And from award-winning company Theatr na nÓg comes The Fight, a new play by Geinor Styles, directed by veteran fight director Kev McCurdy, telling the true story of a Welsh boxing legend (16-22 Oct).
Tickets for all five shows are now on sale at Sherman Theatre’s website, www.shermantheatre.co.uk.
