Pontypool-based Freight Logistics Solutions (FLS) is set to expand its operations and create up to 20 new jobs as part of a seven-figure funding package from NatWest.
The funding has enabled FLS to refinance and return to full private ownership while driving forward ambitious expansion plans across the UK and Europe, following the acquisition of Logiquanta in Lithuania.
This strategic move strengthens FLS’s presence in European markets and supports further growth at its South Wales headquarters, with new roles being created to facilitate expansion.
Founded in 2016, FLS has grown into a leading logistics partner, offering tailored delivery solutions through a network of third-party providers across the UK and EU. The business has also developed pioneering software that helps customers measure the carbon impact of their supply chain, improving efficiency and reducing emissions.
Ieuan Rosser, CEO of FLS Group
Ieuan Rosser, CEO of FLS Group, said: “At Freight Logistics Solutions, we pride ourselves on being dynamic and ambitious, and this latest milestone is a reflection of that. Our focus is always on our customers and our community, whether that’s through delivering outstanding service, reducing costs, or investing back into our people and technology.
“NatWest has been instrumental in supporting our journey, and their continued backing gives us the confidence to expand into new markets while creating high-quality jobs here in South Wales.”
Matthew Maunder, Relationship Director at NatWest added: “Freight Logistics Solutions has demonstrated remarkable growth and innovation since its inception. We are proud to support their expansion plans with this funding package and look forward to seeing their continued success.”
NatWest’s loan also enabled the Development Bank of Wales to successfully exit its investment in FLS just four years after backing the company with £2.2 million to accelerate its growth and establish it as one of the UK’s leading providers of end-to-end supply chain solutions.
