    CEO of Cardiff tech company receives World Travel Leader award

    Technology entrepreneur and CEO of Inspiretec, Simon Powell receives the ‘World Travel Leader’ award at this year’s World Travel Market exhibition in London. The award honours individuals for their outstanding contribution to the travel industry over the last two years.

    Simon was nominated for and voted for by WTM Media Partners, and an independent voting panel, who recognised his achievements and acknowledged the impact he has personally made, in terms of developing talent and creating jobs in Wales at his company Inspiretec.

    Commenting on the award, Simon said:

    “The world travel market is the leading global event within the travel industry, attending and exhibiting the show has always been a personal highlight. I am delighted to be the only individual within the travel technology sector to win this year’s World Travel Leader award, I look forward to continuing my work within this exciting and growing industry.”

    Following the award ceremony, Simon contributed to a discussion panel with other senior industry leaders from all over the globe. Sharing the secrets of his success and discussing his thoughts on the future of the travel industry from a technology perspective.

    November is set to be a lively month for Simon and the Inspiretec Group, with the World Travel Market complete, the next event is the Travolution awards. This event recognises examples of the most innovative and exciting work in digital travel. Inspiretec has been shortlisted for four awards, including Best Technology Provider.

    Inspiretec has had great success this year, with new client wins leading to further growth and subsequently more jobs being created at the Cardiff office.
