    Half term fun for families across Caerphilly

    Families across Caerphilly County Borough can look forward to a week full of fun, fitness and creativity this October half term, with a packed line-up of activities from Leisure Lifestyle, Sport Caerphilly and Caerphilly Play.

    Leisure Lifestyle – Family fun at the swimming pool

    Leisure centres across the county are offering plenty of ways to stay active during the school break. The half term swim programme includes sessions for all ages and abilities, from family swims to swimming lessons and fun inflatable sessions.

    Sport Caerphilly – Sports camps for active kids

    Sport Caerphilly has organised football and netball camps designed to help children stay active, build confidence and develop new skills.

    Football Camps
    Children aged 7 to 12 can take part in football camps on:

    • Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 October at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni (Y Gwyndy Campus)

    • Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 October at Risca Leisure Centre

    Girls-only football camps will also take place on Tuesday 28 October at Risca Leisure Centre and Thursday 30 October at St Cenydd Leisure Centre.

    Netball Camps

    • Years 3 to 6: Monday 27 and Wednesday 29 October at St Cenydd Leisure Centre

    • Years 7 to 9: Tuesday 28 October at Sue Noake Leisure Centre

    All camps run from 9am to 3pm and cost £13.50 per child. Bookings must be made in advance through the Leisure Lifestyle App. For more information, email [email protected] or call 01495 235497.

    Caerphilly Play – Free half term fun for families

    Spooky Pop-Up and Play Roadshow
    Caerphilly Play will be touring the borough from 27 to 31 October with spooky fun sessions for children aged 4 to 12. Families can enjoy loose parts play, crafts, pumpkin painting and more, all free of charge.

    Disability Play Sessions
    Children aged 4 to 16 can join free sessions at the Centre for Skills and Learning, Pontllanfraith, on Wednesday 29 October (10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm). Spaces can be booked through the Leisure Lifestyle App.
