Greenmeadow Community Farm is set to host Halloween fun for all the family this half-term.

Running until Sunday 2nd November, there will be a daily line-up of Halloween activities on the farm, from pumpkin carving and spooky crafts in the Farmer’s Den (10:30 – 4:30pm) to the family-favourite tractor ride.

Visitors can also book into a special Halloween Show taking place each day, with a magic show, special animal encounters and performances taking place at 12:30pm and 2:30pm throughout the week.

For Halloween itself, Friday 31st October, there will be a silent disco in the Haybarn, with frightful tunes at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.

Half term at Greenmeadow Community Farm is pre-bookings only for both members and day ticket visitors.

All activities, which are £2 per person, must also be pre-booked in advance as spaces are limited, with the exception of pumpkin carving, which you can join on the day for £3.50.

Greenmeadow Community Farm re-opened in September following a multi-million pound transformation. Since the re-launch, the farm has been continuing to grow, with new animals joining the herd of goats, donkeys, alpaca and sheep, including chickens, and new pigs.

The transformation included new walk-through animal enclosures for giant rabbits, chickens and goats, an extensive animal barn, an indoor Adventure Play Barn and a significant oak conservatory extension to the 18th-century Farmhouse.

Both farm visitors and the general public can enjoy The Farmer’s Table restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and snacks and focuses its menus around local produce.

Since re-opening, the farm has reported bumper visitor numbers, and Halloween Half Term will be the first school holiday on the farm.

    Jac Griffiths, Farm Manager, says:

“We are so excited to announce our range of Halloween events, the first set of events since the farm reopened in September. There will be so much going on for both children and adults to enjoy, and we’re very much looking forward to seeing everyone’s Halloween costumes!”

As well as Halloween specials, regular daytime farm favourites will take place every day, including story time, milking, animal tea-time and Cuddle Corner. The full day schedule is:
