Residents are being invited to take the first step towards a new career at the RCT Council and Partners 2026 Jobs Fair. The free event will take place on Thursday 26 February at Pontypridd Library, Llys Cadwyn, CF37 4TH, running from 10am to 2pm, with a quiet hour available from 9am to 10am.

The fair will bring together a wide range of employers who are actively recruiting, giving visitors the chance to speak directly with organisations, find out about current vacancies and even begin applications on the day. Workshops will also be available to help people prepare for interviews and improve their CV writing skills.

More than 50 organisations are expected to attend, offering roles across a variety of sectors and suitable for people of all ages and experience levels. RCT Council service managers and staff will be on hand to provide advice and guidance about careers within the local authority.

Visitors will also be able to learn more about the RCT Graduate Scheme and Apprenticeship Programmes, making the event an ideal opportunity to explore options ahead of the next intake.

Organisers say the jobs fair is open to everyone, whether they are looking for their first role, thinking about a career change or simply seeking inspiration for the future.

Councillor Maureen Webber, Deputy Leader of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, said: “We are proud to announce our first jobs fair of 2026. This event brings local people and employers together in one vibrant space, giving jobseekers the opportunity to explore new career paths while helping businesses connect with the community and strengthen their workforce.

“As a Council, we are committed to supporting our residents to access quality employment, and this event is a fantastic example of how working together can build opportunity, support growth and create a stronger local economy.”
