Two people have been arrested following a late-night incident in Barry, with police continuing to investigate reports of an assault.
Officers were called to Park Road in Barry at around 10.30pm on Monday, April 13, following reports that a person had been assaulted.
However, South Wales Police say no victim has come forward or been identified at this stage. Checks have been carried out with local hospitals and enquiries are ongoing.
An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were later arrested in connection with the incident. They were detained in the Roath area of Cardiff at around 11pm and remain in police custody.
A car has been seized as part of the investigation, while several items have also been recovered from the scene and will undergo forensic examination.
A police cordon remains in place on Park Road as officers continue their enquiries.
South Wales Police have thanked the local community for their support and understanding while the investigation progresses.
