Wales’ standout events company, Genero Group, have today announced the appointment of Stuart Gunnarson as their new Commercial Director.

Strengthening its senior leadership team, Stuart joins Genero with over 25 years of global experience leading strategic accounts, client services, and large-scale operations across EMEA, APAC, and Africa. Throughout his career, he has worked with big brands such as EE, Milk & More (Müller), and Concentrix. And now, he adds Genero into the mix.

Stuart’s strong commercial background means he is highly regarded for his leadership, relationship-building and guiding businesses through periods of change. His appointment comes at an exciting time as Genero positions itself for its next chapter, continuing to work with major brands to deliver exceptional event support.

Genero’s clientele spans across multiple sectors, which includes Football Association of Wales (FAW), Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), HSBC and Welsh Government.

Peter Leckie, Managing Director of Genero Group comments:

“We’re delighted to welcome Stuart on board as Commercial Director, strengthening Genero’s leadership team even further as we look forward to an exciting year.

“Stuart’s commercial expertise means that we can take Genero to new heights, providing memorable event and hospitality support in new areas, and with new reach. I’m really looking forward to working with Stuart and having him be part of the Genero team.”

    Stuart said:

“Genero is going through an exciting journey and I am thrilled to be part of it, joining as Commercial Director later this month.

“My focus will be on building upon the incredible foundation laid by the team, driving growth, and ensuring we continue to deliver world-class value for our clients – both locally and nationally.”

Stuart will replace Nic Heslop as Commercial Director, who brought a wealth of experience in strategic business development during his time in post. Stuart will join Genero this May, working closely with Nic before his departure in June.
