Go.Compare has announced the appointment of Sophia Glennon as its new Head of Digital Growth, strengthening the company’s digital marketing team as it adapts to a rapidly changing search landscape.
In her new role, Sophia will report to VP of Marketing, Paul Rogers, and will be responsible for driving the company’s digital growth strategy across channels, including paid search (PPC), as well as managing broader performance marketing initiatives.
Sophia brings more than a decade of experience in digital marketing across the insurance and personal finance sector. Beginning her career at Admiral, before moving into Confused.com, where she rose from Marketing Assistant to PPC Manager, where she led the team for over five years. She later returned to Admiral’s R&D division, working across strategic initiatives for Admiral Money, LeLynx.fr and Firstcarquote. Her expertise is backed by industry recognition, including winning “Google & The Drum’s Women in Search” 2016 and “Best Use of Data in PPC” at the Drum Search Awards.
Most recently, Sophia spent nearly seven years at Google as a Senior Industry Manager. In that role, she consulted with leading insurance brands including Go.Compare, Vitality, AXA, LV=, Legal & General and Simply Business, helping them optimise their search strategies, develop long-term digital plans and maximise brand impact across platforms such as YouTube.
Sophia said on her appointment, “I’m incredibly excited to be joining Go.Compare at such a pivotal time. The search landscape is evolving rapidly, creating huge opportunities for brands that are ready to adapt and think differently. I’ve loved my time at Google, particularly the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of businesses and help shape their strategies. But now I’m really looking forward to pivoting back into a high-impact, hands-on capacity where I can bridge the gap between strategy and execution and drive meaningful growth. Go.Compare has a strong brand and a fantastic team, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together.”
Paul Rogers, VP of Marketing, Go.Compare, added, “Sophia brings a wealth of experience across performance marketing, digital strategy and the insurance sector. Her deep understanding of the evolving search landscape, combined with her proven leadership, makes her a fantastic addition to the team; her expertise will be key in accelerating our growth and strengthening our position in the market.”
