Tom Davies and Ellie Greenwood have joined the team as tax assistants and both look forward to building successful careers with the firm. The new recruits hope to achieve their ACA and CTA qualifications at their new roles.

With three years’ experience under his belt, Tom is no stranger to the industry. After working for Deloitte and HMRC, Tom’s initial role will involve preparing tax returns and supporting a variety of client accounts.

Tom said: “I was looking for an opportunity to move back into a technical tax role while gaining a professional qualification. Kilsby Williams offered just that and seemed like the ideal place to qualify as a Chartered Tax Advisor.

“Working for Kilsby Williams allows me to gain experience across the broad spectrum of tax. It will give me a well-rounded understanding of the variety this industry offers.”

Also joining the tax team is Ellie Greenwood. On her new role, the Economics graduate said: “Unlike other accountancy firms, where I would be expected to specialise immediately, Kilsby Williams offers qualifications in both accountancy and tax advisory.

“This means that they encourage my development and learning in a variety of areas, improving my wider understanding of the industry.

“The variety of work and everyone’s willingness to share their expertise, have made Kilsby Williams a welcoming place to start my career.”

Mary McDonagh, Tax Partner at Kilsby Williams, said:

“We are always looking to invest in the next generation of accountants and tax experts. Our working environment encourages employees to develop and learn from one another.

“Both Tom and Ellie are highly ambitious and hard-working. They will be great assets to our team and I look forward to watching them grow.”
