A Wrexham school will be kick starting their new season in style after being donated football kits from Principality Building Society.

The kit, which was donated by the building society’s Wrexham branch, will ensure that Ysgol y Grango will be a stride apart on the playing field.

Ysgol y Grango and Principality Building Society have forged a strong link through the Business Schools Cluster programme, which sees Ysgol y Grango receive funding towards development in both financial education and sports.

[aoa id=”1″]As well as supporting the health and wellbeing of the school, Principality colleagues have spent time mentoring the students at Ysgol y Grango on financial education. Students are taught valuable skills such as saving money and budgeting, while also having the opportunity to study for a fully funded London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) qualification in Financial Education and Financial Capability.[/aoa]

Mandy Davies, Wrexham Branch Manager for Principality Building Society, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be supporting our local community and our partnership with Ysgol y Grango through the Business Clusters programme. It’s fantastic to see the school thrive in both sport and financial education and we wish the team the very best for the next season.”

Chris Cathrall, Head of PE, Ysgol y Grango: “The students are really excited about the new kit – it looks fantastic and it has given them a real buzz about playing school fixtures. The team have already said it has given them more pride in representing the school. The students and staff at Ysgol y Grango would like to thank Principality for their support.”
