South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision which occurred on New Road, Neath Abbey, Skewen opposite Neath Abbey Infants school at approximately 15:35 hours on Thursday June 13th 2019.
A 12 year old girl has sustained serious head injuries as a result of this collision and is currently being treated at the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff.
South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward as well as anyone with dash cam footage of the incident involving a gold coloured Peugeot 207 motor vehicle.
The road remained closed for several hours whilst investigation work was carried out.
