A man remains in custody after the vehicle he was driving was stopped while travelling in the wrong direction on the A55 Monday evening.
Officers received a report of a taxi being stolen from Holyhead at around 7.30pm on Monday 24 August.
Shortly afterwards, the taxi was involved in a collision with a cyclist on London Road, during which a number of parked vehicles were also damaged.
The cyclist remains in hospital receiving treatment for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The taxi then entered the westbound carriageway of the A55 at Holyhead, travelling in the wrong direction.
At 7.55pm, officers safely brought the vehicle to a stop on the A55 between Rhosneigr and Rhostrehewfa after closing the road.
The man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of several offences, including theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and fail to provide.
He remains in police custody and continues to be questioned by officers.
