This is how Cardiff City supporters have been celebrating promotion to the Premier League

Cardiff City Football Club are back in the Premier League, despite drawing at home to Reading.

The Bluebirds are automatically promoted to the Premier League with 90-points, thanks to Fulham’s defeat at Birmingham.

As well as a fantastic result for Cardiff City, it’s also a personal best for Neil Warnock, with Cardiff making it a record eighth promotion as football manager. Neil Warnock had said winning a record eighth promotion would be his “greatest achievement”.

Cardiff weren’t the only ones celebrating following the draw, which also sees Reading’s survival in the Premier League too.

However, the real celebration is with Cardiff, they haven’t been in the top tier league since the 2013–14 season, which was the club’s first season in the league for 51 years.

This is how Cardiff City fans have been celebrating today…

It began with a pitch invasion and fireworks…

I've been privileged enough to cover this Cardiff City team throughout this season. Make no mistake they deserve every bit of this promotion. They've defied the odds with that unbreakable character, and Neil Warnock has transformed a once broken club. Enjoy it, Cardiff City fans. pic.twitter.com/UWTsFgDbqN

    We mean tons…

It didn’t take much encouragement for some to celebrate

Only got 6 seconds of vid. Missed the best bit where Tan uses Warnock's hand to slap him…

    Some fans even had chills…

It had been a long-time coming for some…

Others stood around in total disbelief

    While others knighted the manager…

We might not know the true extent of celebrations for 9 months… apparently

I think it’s a fair assumption that there will be plenty of celebration taking place in Cardiff tonight.
