Swansea Bay Business Club is assisting in delivering a free business briefing in partnership with the Bank of England Agency for Wales on Friday 15th November.

The club will welcome Dr Ben Broadbent, Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, as guest speaker at the event, which goes ahead at the Village Hotel, Swansea. Dr Ben Broadbent became Deputy Governor in 2014. Prior to that, he was an external member of the Monetary Policy Committee. In addition to his membership of the Monetary Policy Committee, Financial Policy Committee and Prudential Regulation Committee, he has specific responsibility within the Bank for Monetary Policy, and shared responsibility for the Bank’s International macroeconomic analysis, strategy and engagement.

Alan Brayley, Acting President of Swansea Bay Business Club, said: “I am looking forward to welcoming Dr Broadbent to the breakfast briefing at the Village Hotel. These important briefing sessions are held by the Bank of England after The Monetary Policy Committee publishes its latest quarterly Inflation Report and we’re delighted to help them bring their sessions to Swansea.

“The Inflation Report sets out the Bank of England’s expectations for inflation and growth in the UK economy over the next few years. As such, these events provide invaluable insights for members of our business community.”

Tickets to Swansea Bay Business Club’s breakfast briefing are available here: https://www.swanseabaybusinessclub.com/events/november-breakfast-event/.

Bacon rolls, coffee, and tea will be served at the breakfast, held at the Village Hotel, Swansea, which will start at 7:45am and finish at 9:30am. Bookings will close at midnight on Friday 8th November, one week before the event.
