A talented young skier added to her impressive list of accolades with regional and national success.

Agatha Favill, a Year 4 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, picked up double honours from two separate competitions to enhance her growing reputation within the sport.

The eight-year-old began her triumphs at the Midland National Championships, where she turned in a series of fantastic runs to emerge victorious in the U10 Girls’ category.

This was followed up by another memorable effort in at the GBR Series, where Agatha held her nerve to finish first in race one of the series after a superb performance down the slopes.

Agatha not only received a medal as a result of this achievement, but she also won a prestigious four-day slalom training course worth £200.

The pupil is one of a wealth of children who have benefitted significantly from Rydal Penrhos’ specialist skiing programme, which is another unique opportunity offered by the school that has brought a rich history of success.

    Deputy Head Alison Hind, said:

“What Agatha has been able to accomplish in such a short space of time is absolutely remarkable and a testament to the progression she has made thanks to her ongoing commitment to the sport.

“She is a delightful pupil who makes the very most of every opportunity presented to her at Rydal Penrhos, and everyone is absolutely thrilled for Agatha and the overall contribution she is making to Prep School life.”
