The Royal Mint has opened the doors to its very own pop-up store! The gift store which has opened in time for Christmas has a variety of enticing gifts available, from a 1g gold bar, collectable coins to a range of eye-catching jewellery – perfect presents or stocking fillers for the person that has everything.

It’s not Christmas without a frantic trip to buy those last minute gifts and with less than a month until the big day, The Royal Mint could be the answer to all of your gifting problems! The gift store is located in St David’s 2 at the heart of Cardiff’s city centre and is easily accessible to everyone.

Particularly iconic at Christmas is the 50p coin celebrating the timeless children’s classic, The Snowman™. Each silver coloured coin is cased in a beautiful printed acrylic block with snow falling all around it, making it a thoughtful gift that will be treasured for years to come. Other commemorative coins available to purchase include the Gruffalo 50p and a 50p coin to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit.

In addition to a range of collectible coins, there is also a selection of jewellery from The Royal Mint’s newly launched collections, which you won’t find anywhere else on the high street. With exclusively designed collections, including Sprig, Motto and Queen’s Beasts, each range is unique to The Royal Mint and takes inspiration from its heritage.

Nicola Howell, Chief Commercial Officer at The Royal Mint said, ‘This is an exciting time for The Royal Mint as we open the doors to our very own gift store this Christmas. The countdown to Christmas is well and truly underway but deciding what to buy for your loved ones can be a difficult decision to make. You are guaranteed to find a unique gift for that special someone in your life that they will treasure for years to come.”

James Waugh, General Manager for St David’s Cardiff said: “We’re so excited to welcome the Royal Mint to St David’s for its festive pop-up! The store is the perfect location to buy a memorable gift this Christmas, and we know our shoppers will love it.”

The Royal Mint’s pop-up gift store will be open for a limited time only. The store is open every day 9.30am-8pm.
