This week it was announced that Cocorico Patisserie head chef, owner and 2017 Bake Off: Crème de la Crème finalist Laurian Veaudour will be competing in this year’s Great British Bake Off alongside his Pastry Chef Thibault Courtoisier, who came second in the UK Sugar Championships in 2017.

Since 2010, Cocorico Patisserie on Whitchurch Road has been creating delicious French delicacies in the Welsh capital; from praline and hazelnut cream-filled Paris-Brest, to salted caramel-filled tarte au chocolat.

However, due to the continued social distancing measures in place across Wales, the café had been closed for business.

With new systems in place, the patisserie has re-opened for walk-ins, while a new click and collect service will allow customers to pre-order a selection of sweet treats, to be picked up safely on a day of their choosing (minimum of two days’ notice required).

Cocorico Patisserie has launched a range of afternoon teas and pastry cake boxes, in addition to individual cakes and treats that can be collected.

Great British Bake Off: The Professionals starts on Tuesday 26th May at 8pm on Channel 4.For more information, visit https://twitter.com/BritishBakeOff.
