The family of Tony Hillard, 70, from Saron, Ammanford who died following a road traffic collision which happened on the M4 motorway between junctions 43 and 44 on the 21st of September 2020 has paid the following tribute to him.

“We are beyond heartbroken with the sudden loss of Tony. He was such a huge part of the family that we just don’t know how we are going to continue without him.

“We can only describe him as a first rate, loving, caring family man and was always the first to offer his help and support.

“He could be a bit of a joker and we smile now at how cringey some of them could be.

“Throughout his whole life he had a love and passion for motorcycles which he passed on to so many family members.  He was an experienced rider and we, as family, take some comfort in the fact he died doing something he absolutely loved.

“We have been touched and overwhelmed by the amount of support and kindness we have received from family, friends and the wider community.

“Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the emergency services at scene who tried to help Tony.”

South Wales Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses to the fatal road traffic collision which occurred between junctions 43 and 44 of the westbound carriageway of the M4 motorway at about 4.20pm on Monday 21st September.

The incident involved a single a motorcycle.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or the manner the motorcycle was being ridden in prior to the incident and anyone with dash cam footage should contact South Wales Police on 101 quoting occurrence 2000346169.
