A brand new scare festival is coming to Cardiff this halloween

A brand-new scare attraction is arriving in Cardiff this Halloween season.

Cardiff Pumpkin Festival SCARE FEST will be taking over the fields of Coedarhydyglyn Park, just off Culverhouse Cross between 25th-31st October, for a truly terrifying night out.

As the countdown begins, the search for Scare Actors to bring this chilling event to life is well underway. No acting or scare experience is required as full training will be given to the right candidates, and anyone from the age of 16 upwards can apply.

A spokesperson for Cardiff Pumpkin Festival said: “We believe that this is a brilliant opportunity for people living in the surrounding areas who perhaps want to try something new outside of their day jobs. All you need is confidence, a willingness to ‘have a go’ and get a kick out of scaring others!”

In this inaugural launch year, Scare Actors will take on hair-raising roles within two heart-pounding mazes. ‘The Veiled Coven’ will reveal a twisted lair where vengeful witches, envious of love, sacrifice their own eyes in a dark ritual, invoking the power of evil spirits. Meanwhile, ‘Biohazard Apocalypse’ will unfold in a once peaceful land, now plagued by a mysterious contamination that transforms ordinary citizens into ghastly, mutated zombies.

Anyone who is interested can visit cardiffpumpkinfestival.com/scare-actors for more information about the role, the recruitment process, along with details of the upcoming audition dates. The deadline to apply is 30th August.
