A ‘Jaws’-dropping Great White Shark, measuring nearly 25 feet, has made its way from the big blue sea to St David’s Shopping Centre in Cardiff.

This summer, #SharkCDF will offer you the ultimate selfie moment and tons of fin-tastic activities and workshops with local charities for the whole family to help you have your most sustainable summer yet.

Afraid to get too close? Don’t fret! Climb into the chomp-safe shark cage so you can capture that perfect picture without a worry. But don’t forget humans are friends too – not food!

If you ‘snap’ a picture with Shark, you can share your best photos with the centre to enter a #SharkSelfie competition. Each week you will have the chance to win a hamper full of St David’s goodies. Jaw-some!

From 31st July we are giving you the chance to name this new ocean friend! The top three names will be put to the people of Cardiff on a Facebook poll on 7th August! The winner will receive a one-off St David’s experience including a gift card, delicious meal and more!

But the fun doesn’t stop there, as throughout the summer holidays, St David’s will be holding a host of family friendly events to learn some quick tricks for the whole family to be more sustainable.

Every Saturday from August 10th you can stop by the #SharkCDF to get crafty, including face painting sessions as well as creating your own plastic bottle mobiles, giving you the perfect way to learn more about the life cycle of plastic and encourage reuse in a fun and interactive way! Keep Wales Tidy are also joining the fun, you can meet them at the #SharkCDF every Wednesday from August 7th until 6th September to learn how to go green this season! Easy!

James Waugh, General Manager of St David’s Cardiff said:

“During the holidays, St David’s is the go-to destination of a day out of shopping, eating and fun, and we wanted to create an unforgettable summer for our visitors, with six weeks of Shark-tastic activities that combine fun with learning more about sustainability, in particular the use of single use plastic and the harm it poses to marine life. For a summer full of fun, and a Great White of course, swim on down to St David’s,”

And don’t forget to stay out of the no swim zones…
