A new Arcade Bar is coming to Cardiff

NQ64 will be opening its doors on Thursday 4th November to its brand new home on St Mary Street, Cardiff – making its much-anticipated debut in Wales following five other successful launches across the UK. Combining neon graffiti-splattered artwork and arcade games with your favourite local brews and game-themed cocktails. This is definitely one to add to your diary!

Located in the heart of Cardiff, NQ64 will have an array of classic arcade games from across time to transport you back to the early days of video gaming. Get reacquainted with Time Crisis, Donkey Kong, Guitar Hero, and of course Pac-Man, or enjoy some pinball or console classics from Playstation, Sega and Nintendo. Arcade games and pinball machines operate on tokens purchased from the bar, but consoles are free to play.

In honour of these blasts from the past, NQ64 offers a variety of game-inspired cocktails. Try the Prosecco filled ‘Princess Peach’ or if you’re more of a rum and gin fan the ‘Bubble Bobble.’ The drinks offering also features a selection of craft beers, spirits and sodas sourced from a range of local breweries and distilleries and if you’re feeling peckish there’ll be plenty of tasty retro crisps available to keep you going.

For a chance to test the games and try the cocktails before anyone else, get following NQ64 Cardiff on Instagram @nq64cardiff. You can also check out the NQ64 website for updates on their newest arcade bar experience at nq64.co.uk

NQ64’s founder, Matt Robson, commented on the launch: “We can’t wait to get our Cardiff site open. We are located in a lively area of the city and we hope our new bar will match that atmosphere. Expect retro gaming mixed with a bangin booze and music offering.”
