    Alter Bridge launch Blackbird Festival with sell out Cardiff Castle show

    Alter Bridge launched the inaugural Blackbird Festival in spectacular fashion on Saturday night, playing to a sell out crowd at TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle.

    The historic city centre venue was transformed into a haven for rock fans as the festival’s first edition brought together an impressive line up of established and emerging acts.

    Joining Alter Bridge on the bill were Welsh favourites Skindred, alongside US rock outfit Mammoth, Welsh trio Florence Black and the soulful sounds of Cardinal Black, creating a day packed with high energy performances.

    The Blackbird Festival marks another milestone for TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle, which this year is hosting a record breaking 24 headline shows featuring some of the biggest names in music.

    The concert series continues on Tuesday, 30 June, when global pop superstar Katy Perry takes to the stage at Cardiff Castle.

    The full TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle 2026 line up includes:

    • 30 June: Katy Perry and Mimi Webb
    • 4 July: Bowling For Soup, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls and American Hi-Fi
    • 9 July: Billy Ocean, Marti Pellow and Katie Owen
    • 10 July: Bastille, Arthur Hill and Sofia Camara
    • 11 July: David Gray and The Divine Comedy
    • 16 July: Richard Ashcroft, Tom Meighan and Apollo Junction
    • 18 July: Sammy Virji, Salute, Silva Bumpa, Arthi b2b Saint Ludo, Yemz and Lucas Alexander
    • 24 July: Self Esteem, Kae Tempest and Joshua Idehen
    • 25 July: Depot in the Castle featuring The Wombats, Sugababes, Red Rum Club, Ben Ellis, Afro Cluster, The Family Battenberg and Ian Davies
    • 26 July: David Byrne and Anna Calvi
    • 30 July: Biffy Clyro, English Teacher and Humour
    • 31 July: The Streets, Casisdead and Jimothy Lacoste
    • 1 August: Sex Pistols, The Stranglers, The Undertones and Panic Shack
    • 2 August: Two Door Cinema Club, Friendly Fires and 3LIJAH
    • 14 August: Hollywood Vampires and The Damned
    • 15 August: Jimmy Eat World, Rise Against, The Get Up Kids and Jay Som
