THE WINNING DESIGN in a competition to produce an outfit to encourage sustainable and creative fashion is being unveiled in a Cardiff charity shop window today. ‘Reimagined Fashion’ is being run by the independent Welsh cancer charity- Cancer Research Wales, to help breathe new life into pre-loved garments. It is based on the theme ‘Stripe a Pose’ because the charity’s logo is inspired by the striped DNA sequencing gels used by scientists to research cancer. The RSPCA is highlighting the work of its amazing volunteers and the massive contribution they make to the animal charity during Volunteers’ Week (June 3-9). Net Zero Industry Wales (NZIW) has successfully unlocked £7.5m in UK Government funding to support SMEs from South West Wales as they undertake decarbonisation initiatives and look to participate in the regions’ net zero industry. The Innovate UK funding — secured by winning the Launchpad Cluster Management Office competition —   allows NZIW to lead the “South West Wales Launchpad”, supporting and awarding grants to projects in Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea.
