Within a months’ time, thousands will be travelling to Maldwyn in order to compete and enjoy themselves at the National Urdd Eisteddfod. A shop that’s believed to be the oldest in Wales is still going strong nearly 500 years after it was built. Over time the timber-framed building on the high street in Denbigh has been used for a variety of purposes and more recently been home to the Welsh book shop, Siop Clwyd. It’s been established by heritage experts using dendrochronology tests that the timber in the one-and-a-half-storey premises dates back to 1533. More homes for sale and renewed confidence amongst buyers continues to support the number of sales being agreed which are 12% higher compared to this time last year1, reveals property website Zoopla. The latest monthly House Price Index also shows that UK house price growth remains broadly flat (-0.2%) contributing to a more balanced market, meaning more people have the chance of moving home in 2024. Thousands of runners took to the streets of Newport to take part in the exciting new ABP Newport Marathon Festival. More than 7,000 people were signed up to run in the Marathon, the new Half Marathon distance and 10K races, which started and finished outside of the University of South Wales Building in Usk Way.
