Two people have been arrested following a shoplifting incident that led to an emergency river rescue in Old St Mellons, Cardiff. South Wales Police were called to Welcome Break Services in Pontprennau at around 7pm on Sunday, February 8, following reports that two people had stolen items from a shop. South Wales Police have confirmed the sudden death of a man in Romilly Park, Barry, earlier today. Officers were called to the park at around 7.20am on Monday, February 9, following reports of concern for a person. Emergency services attended the scene, but the man was sadly pronounced dead.
