The 2023/24 season could be a rather memorable one for Wayne Hennessey. The goalkeeper is just three international caps shy of Gareth Bale’s Welsh record – with a stack of Euro 2024 qualifiers and friendlies ahead, the 36-year-old could overtake Bale and become the most capped player in Wales’ history. At club level, Hennessey could be set to enjoy his final fling as a Premier League player – his Nottingham Forest contract expires at the end of the campaign which, given he turns 37 in January, seems a long-shot be renewed. In customary Hennessey fashion, the Bangor man will no…

Staff on Morriston Hospital’s children’s ward have dialled canine, canine, canine for a spot of pedigree pet therapy. Help arrived in the form of Mark Kennedy from Carmarthenshire Therapy Dogs and his 7-year-old bullmastiff, Olga. Although she looked a beast, weighing in at 10 stone, Olga was as gentle as a lamb and lapped up pats and cuddles from all who met her. The visit was arranged to put a smile on the face of the young patients and reduce some of the anxiety that may surround a hospital stay but the staff were equally lifted by Olga’s visit. Mark…
