A summit to explore what more can be done in Wales to promote and improve responsible dog ownership has been called by Rural Affairs Minister Lesley Griffiths and takes place today (18 October) The summit focuses on what can be done using the levers available to Wales. It brings together representatives from local government, the police, public health, third sector organisations and those campaigning for both the welfare of dogs and the safety of the general public. Shane, aged 48, was last seen leaving the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, on Sunday 7th May. Extensive enquiries have been carried out to locate Shane but there have been no confirmed sightings since he was seen on Allensbank Road, close to the hospital, at around 12.30pm that day. He is known to live a transient lifestyle and could possibly be living in a tent. He has links to Swansea and has also previously lived in the Roath area of Cardiff. A Cardiff drag queen has set his sights on TV stardom after joining the cast of the hit Welsh language version of Gogglebox. In November 2022, officers on patrol in an unmarked police car from the Organised Crime Unit witnessed a drug deal between Chris Dowse, 45 and another person. Officers approached Dowse, who refused to provide details and attempted to get away. He was eventually detained, and incriminating evidence was found including a white substance as well as a message on Dowse’s phone that was drug related.
