Leading law firm Geldards has strengthened its Commercial Property team in Cardiff with the appointment of Partner Jessie Blain who joined the firm at the beginning of October.

Geldards Commercial Property team acts for clients in both the private and public sector, advising on major infrastructure and regeneration projects nationwide.

Jessie joins from Ince where she spent the past seven years, most recently as a Partner in the real estate and commercial property team.  Having started her legal career and training at Geldards over two decades ago, Jessie returns to the firm bringing with her over 25 years’ experience.  Her extensive expertise covers a broad range of property-related disciplines including property development and house builders, acquisitions and disposals and secured lending.

Jessie manages a portfolio of high net worth clients, and has significant experience working in the public sector, bringing with her a major London Local Authority Trading Company, whom she has acted for over the past 3 years.  Jessie was also previously seconded to the Welsh Government, which gave her invaluable experience of working in-house for a government body.

Her appointment boosts the highly regarded Commercial Property team who were recognised in the recent Legal 500 rankings as “an attentive team providing a high level of expertise and an outstanding commitment to achieving deadlines.”

Commenting on the appointment, Head of Commercial Property Susanne Bradley said:

“I am thrilled to extend a very warm welcome to Jessie and we are delighted she has joined the team here at Geldards.  Our Commercial Property team goes from strength to strength and enjoys an excellent reputation in the marketplace. We pride ourselves on providing an extremely high quality service to our clients and Jessie’s breadth of experience nicely complements the existing talent we already have in the team. ”

    Jessie Blain commented:

“I am delighted to be returning to Geldards as a Partner, having trained at the firm over 20 years ago, and feel extremely proud to be part of a firm with such exemplary professionalism, and one which I believe to be aligned fully with my qualities and values.  I am excited to build upon the relationships established throughout my career, both in the private and public sector.  With client care being of paramount importance to me, and at the forefront of everything I do, I am looking forward to being able to fully service my clients, and to grow and expand my practice within Geldards”.
