Families with premature and sick babies in Wales will receive better support through a new programme to improve neonatal care standards across the country. Baby charity Bliss has been awarded almost £100,000 funding by the Welsh Government to help support families, improve staff training and undertake research to reduce health inequalities. Around 2,800 premature and sick babies born every year in Wales will benefit from improved care standards. £1.75m of grants will help ensure small tourism and hospitality businesses across Wales can welcome visitors come rain or shine. Following the success of the initial weather-proofing fund which allowed the tourism attraction sector to invest in weather-proofing measures, a new, second phase will support small tourism and hospitality businesses to mitigate the impact of all weather and enhance the experience for visitors. New sports courts are appearing in local communities across Wales as part of an initiative to revitalise underused facilities, making them more accessible and fit for the future. A total of twenty-four Class 756 electric trains will run on Coryton, Penarth, Treherbert, Aberdare, and Merthyr lines. A new bus service connecting communities between Rhyl and Wrexham launches today. The TrawsCymru T51 will make bus travel easier between Rhyl, Denbigh, Ruthin and Wrexham. The changes – part of Network North Wales – increase the number of buses running between Ruthin and Wrexham to hourly (from two-hourly) and introduces a new hourly service between Wrexham and Rhyl on Sundays.
