Parents in Powys that have baby self-feeding pillows are being urged by the county council to stop using them and dispose of them safely. The Office for Product Safety and Standards has issued an urgent safety alert as self-feeding pillows/prop feeders present a risk of serious harm or death from choking or aspiration pneumonia. The Welsh Government has invested £6.6m over 3 years to support Welsh-medium late immersion provision across Wales. The project, which aims to bring the educational virtual reality (VR) game to pupils learning Welsh across Wales, is part of this investment. The project was established by Cyngor Gwynedd for pupils in Welsh-language late immersion centres to develop their language skills. South Wales Police is continuing to investigate a fatal road traffic collision which happened on St Helens Road, Swansea, at around 8pm on Friday (2 December). A blue Yamaha motorcycle was in collision with a silver Toyota Prius and, despite the best efforts of members of the emergency services, the driver of the motorcycle, an 19-year-old man from Cockett, was declared deceased at the scene. The Minister for Health and Social Services, Eluned Morgan, has officially opened the Welsh Ambulance Service’s new station in Cardiff. The £8 million Welsh Government-funded facility in Pontprennau is the new home of both emergency and non-emergency crews, previously based at the Blackweir station.
