Tesco has announced that its Fruit & Veg for Schools programme, developed in partnership with the British Nutrition Foundation, is to be expanded for another year to reach even more schools across the UK. For the whole of the next academic year (2025/2026), free fruit and veg from local Tesco stores will give children in more than 500 schools a nutritious boost that they might not ordinarily get. The latest designs for Milford Haven’s new Public Transport Interchange – which will transform the existing railway station – will be on show at a public drop in session this month. The Welsh Government has today renewed its commitment to making Wales a safe place for women and girls, at a national summit marking ten years since the introduction of Wales’s Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) Act. Changes are on the way to help people who are struggling with missed council tax payments. It’ll give local authorities more time to engage with people to prevent debt escalating quickly. There will also be clearer rules for reminder and final notices. Part of the change will mean households in Wales will have 63 days to address missed council tax payments before enforcement action can be taken, when new rules come into force next April.
