A man and a woman from North Cornelly sentenced to a total of 16 years and 6 months for rape. On Sunday September 4, 2022, South Wales Police received a report that a 17-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by Sean Ellis-Evans and Sarah Vigus. The call was made by the victim’s mother, who was speaking on her behalf. A 23-year-old from the Cardiff area has today, September 22, been sentenced following a proactive investigation led by Counter Terrorism Policing Wales. Nermin Onour was initially arrested in October 2024 on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism contrary to Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006. On arrest Onour was asked to provide her phone pin number and despite officers explaining that her refusal could lead to a criminal offence, she refused. Matt Sherratt has been confirmed as Wales’ new attack coach, becoming the second assistant to join Steve Tandy’s backroom staff ahead of the Quilter Nations Series at Principality Stadium this November. Rufus Edwards, from Bersham, near Wrexham, was declared the winner of the prestigious Pendine Young Musician of Wales competition at the North Wales International Music Festival. More than 200 people (217) have died waiting for an organ transplant in Wales over the past ten years because they didn’t receive the lifesaving organs they desperately needed in time, new figures reveal.
