The 3 Amigos Motorcycle Group is appealing for donations and toys for its charity toy run this December. The toy run takes place on 10th December 2022. The toy run is supporting the Wish Fund which supports the paediatric palliative care service to create lasting memories for the children, young people and families they support. The run is also fundraising for Cilgerran Ward in Glangwili Hospital and Action for Children. The toy run is a much-loved event which sees hundreds of motorcyclists collecting and delivering toys. A sheep stranded on a ledge near the bottom of a quarry near Llangollen has been rescued by an RSPCA rope rescue team. Remarkable footage shows specially trained officers from the animal welfare charity safely capture the ram after abseiling around 30 metres down at the disused Moel Y Faen Quarry. The RSPCA specialist rope rescue team included inspectors Mark Roberts, Vicki Taylor, Andy Broadbent, Jenny Anderton and Rachael Davies plus animal rescue officer Ashley Moore – who completed the rescue on Tuesday 4 October. A bumper anniversary celebration has today been announced for the Cardiff Half Marathon, following the successful return of the event to the streets of the Welsh capital this weekend. The race will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on Sunday 1 October next year. A PERFORMING arts group staged a remarkable comeback with the support of a community funding organisation. Conwy Valley and North West Wales Coast Community Rail Partnership and Transport for Wales (TfW) stepped in to help Maes-G ShowZone in Maesgeirchen, Bangor, when they needed a grant to help pay for new equipment during the pandemic. There are now even more opportunities for pupils and the wider community in Morriston to stay fit and active thanks to a major upgrade of a school gymnasium. Two new ‘Changing Places’ toilets are being introduced at Knab Rock and Rhossili as part of a £300,000 investment in improving Swansea’s public toilet facilities. Residents at Plas Y Bryn Care home in Cwmgwili and Ridgeway Care home in Llawhaden are being supported to find new homes.
