Newport will be host to the Wales and the Battle of Britain 80th anniversary exhibition this September as part of the nationwide commemorations marking an important chapter in the history of the Second World War. A Newport shop, its director and manager were sentenced yesterday for 26 offences of selling food past the expiry date and one offence in relation to a misleading label. Berzan LMT trading as Newport Foodway Supermarket, director Ali Ceylan and manager Aydin Atmali pleaded guilty to all 27 offences at an earlier hearing. As part of Caerphilly County Borough Council’s ongoing asset maintenance programme, Wilkins Terrace Footbridge will be undergoing refurbishment works from Friday the 16th September 2022 for six weeks.
