The traffic management arrangements have now been confirmed, with all disruptive works taking place at night to minimise disruption. The popular Food and Fun scheme is running in two Blaenau Gwent schools this summer, giving children and young people the opportunity to socialise; get active and enjoy healthy nutritious meals. Food and Fun is a school-based programme funded by Welsh Government and co-ordinated by the Welsh Local Government Association. The schemes are then delivered locally by the Local Authority; school staff and a range of local partners and organisations to provide a fun social environment during the school summer holidays. Office take-up in Cardiff reached 214,708 sq ft, the highest half year take-up since 2016, and 133.6% above H1 2021, according to international real estate advisor Savills. The most prominent deals this year included the 65,000 sq. ft. letting to BT at 3 Capital Quarter, the largest letting in Q1, and Roku taking 25,845 sq. ft. at One Fusion Point in Q2. A group helping to address the cost-of-living crisis by providing baby essentials to struggling families in Bridgend has received a cash boost from a leading Welsh housebuilder. Splice Child and Family Project has secured a £1,000 donation from Persimmon Homes West Wales. The group provides a baby bank service for families in need, supplying essential items such as baby formula, nappies, wipes, food and toiletries. The gift comes through the Persimmon’s long-running Community Champions campaign.
